Inverter

Grid tie inverter
The grid tie inverter has the function to transform the direct current of the solar system into a grid-synchronous alternating current of 230 V. This alternating current is injected into the power grid of the village in order to energize the individual households with it.

Stand-alone inverter
The stand-alone inverter is the grid-forming unit of the system. It is connected to a battery system and transforms the direct current of the battery into alternating current which is injected into the grid. This always happens when the grid tie inverter does not inject electric current as for example at night. The other function of the stand-alone inverter is to transform the alternating current again into direct current by day in order to charge the batteries (48 V).
