PLANT EXAMPLE: SPORTS GYMNASIUM BURGWEINTING

The façade of the sports gymnasium in Burgweinting, a suburb of Regensburg, is composed of a semi-transparent photovoltaic glazing. The most striking feature of the gymnasium is the south façade, with the newly developed photovoltaic glazing. The silicon cells are not next to each other as usual, but spaced at 22mm. Thus, they are used as shading elements and reduce the heat intake of the hall. The transparent glass between the cells provides a glare-free illumination with natural light. In total, there are 56 PV-Modules (glass panes) in 4 different versions with a total capacity of 10kWp. |
