THE FIRST SOLAR VILLAGE IN SENEGAL
IIn Senegal, in West Africa, in 2008, the rural settlement Ndelle in the presence of the Secretary of Energy, the German Ambassador and numerous government officials, have inaugurated the first fully solar-energy-based village in the country.
The future-looking "lighthouse project" is an example. Rural areas, today even whole villages, can be supplied economically and environmentally-friendly. A large 8.4 kWp photovoltaic system supplies a remote off-grid village around the clock, allowing its residents to use necessary, but also comfort-bringing electrical appliances.
The project was implemented by Solar23 GmbH under the "Solar Roofs Program for the opening of foreign markets", run by the Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena – German Energy Agency). View Video.

THE 4TH REVOLUTION
The cinema documentary ENERGY AUTONOMY - The 4th Revolution, describes through its protagonists - a prominent environmental activist, Nobel laureates, innovative businessmen and politicians - that it is possible to switch to 100% renewable energies within the next 30 years. It demonstrates the opportunities the energy revolution offers for sustainable economic development and social and economic justice. The film will first run in German cinemas, accompanied by a campaign around the theatrical release in many cities in Germany. Its message: The switch to 100% renewable energy is now possible.
