Hybrid Solar PV Plants combine a minimum of two energy types, the most common is a combination of a diesel-genset and renewable energy systems with or without storage.

Hybrid PV solutions are preferred when solar is not reliable 100% of the time: during clouds and other bad weather. The diesel-genset allows energy to be provided in these cases.
