Malawi

2021
Supply & Installation of PV Hybrid (86,8 kWp) and Solar Water Heating Systems (6,000 Liters)

In 2021, SOLAR23 successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a hybrid solar installation for its customer in Malawi, as part of the company's energy efficiency and green initiatives.

In March 2020, SOLAR23 was awarded the contract for the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a turnkey 92 kWp grid connected photovoltaic (PV) hybrid plant and a 6,000L solar water heating system.

The PV plant, designed entirely by SOLAR23, consists of 288 solar photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 92 kWp DC power, 233 batteries capable of storing 303kWh of power, and a state-of-the-art uninterruptible power supply unit.

The batteries installed are charged through a PV inverter or by the grid set.

The solar water heating system is designed to provide the individual rooms in the building with 6,000 Liters of hot water, thanks to the 48 unites of solar thermal collections and the 6 water tanks of 1,000 liters each.

This was an ideal solution for the contracting company, as it allows management of consumption of the energy produced by the PV systems and provides a renewable source of sustainable energy.
